Graduates earn 7,783 degrees, certificates from Georgia State University


About 22.8 percent of the 7,783 degrees and certificates handed out by Georgia State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Atlanta conferred 1208 bachelor's degrees and 505 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 425 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 291 bachelor's degrees in general finance and 272 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 32,816 students for 2017-18, including 25,770 in undergraduate programs and 7,046 in graduate programs.
