1.8 percent of Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 1.8 percentage of Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus has 15,573 undergraduate students, of which 62 percent are men and 38 percent are women, and a total student body of 29,376 students. Of these students, 330 men and 209 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus with the most participants are all track combined (228), football (116) and swimming and diving (67).
