Georgia Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Wednesday, July 25, 2018

1:00 -2:00 PM

Join Peter Topping, Associate Professor, Emory University, as he explores the dynamics of managing and motivating a multi generational and multicultural workforce.  Because we are not all the same, it is incumbent upon the managerial leader to connect with each member of her/his team on an individual level.  We will engage in a lively discussion on the dynamics of managing the needs and expectations of employees representing various age groups and a wide range of backgrounds, including:

How to create a workplace environment that enables all employees to work at their fullest possible potential;

How to work across genders, cultures, race, age and ethnicities;

Why viewing the workplace environment as a “system” is important and how to implement systems thinking for better management;

– And how to identify the characteristics of the four generations that are currently in the workforce—Silents, Baby Boomers, Generation Xers, and Millennials—and how they are different and similar.
