Graduates earn 251 degrees from Covenant College


About 17.5 percent of the 251 degrees and certificates handed out by the Covenant College in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Mountain conferred 27 master's degrees and 17 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General. Data shows the school gave out 24 bachelor's degrees in English Language and Literature, General, followed by 24 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General and 20 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General.

The college enrolled 1,058 students for 2016-17, including 1,005 in undergraduate programs and 53 in graduate programs.
